This file contains the construction systems of flat roofs TECHNONICOL in the form of roof models.
The file version is Revit 2016.
When you open the file, the "Sheet" with the "System Card" is displayed.

The System Card of the construction system contains following information:

  • name of the system;
  • brief description of the system;
  • a fragment of a model made using the “Section” tool, with marking of each layer;
  • a list of the main materials included in the system;
  • a list of alternative materials for which main materials can be replaced.

When switching to a 3D view, a model of the building system is displayed.

The roof base and roof layers are presented as separate models.

Models are given a standard set of parameters related to the type of roof:

The composition of the roofing materials is fully consistent with the composition of the system, which is recommended by the manufacturer.

The project provides a list of main and alternative materials included in the system.

All material names have the prefix "TN_", for grouping in the list of materials of the project.

The materials are given the parameters, which are responsible for the identification in the project, its display and physical properties:

To use the model in the project, the user needs to copy the model (having previously selected it) from the current file using the ctrl + c command and paste it into his project using the ctrl + v command.

The TECHNONICOL roof detail album contains 37 abutment details for 5 flat roof systems. 
The album is created in the standard Revit 2016 template. 

When the window is opened, the sheet with the roof system TN ROOF CLASSIC deformation seam is displayed first:

The standard „Project Browser“ screen has expandable sections with detail types and drawings:

A drawing view „TN-Drawing“ is configured for the separate roof details:

Roof details are created using detail element families:

Family names have a prefix for grouping „TN“.

Category code are listed below:

  • FIX – Fastening; 
  • LIN – Line;
  • MAT – Supporting material;
  • MET – Metal rolling;
  • PRF – Profiled elements;
  • RAW – Drainage elements;
  • WP – Waterproofing;
  • ANN – Annotation;
  • VEN – Ventilation;
  • FIN – Finishing;
  • TPR_N – Thermal insulation.   

Each roof details is shown on a separate sheet.

Roof details are copied from album to the project using the command „Insert Views from File”.

Application Overview

TECHNONICOL plugin is a Revit program add-in that contains tools designed to create slopes on a flat roof using tapered insulation, sandwich construction leaders, as well as catalogs of building systems, materials, and sketch-books of connections. 

The program is compatible with following Revit versions: 2017- 2020.

Program installation

In order to install the program, you need to download an installation file from website, unzip the archive into a working folder and run the installer file as  "Administrator", then follow the program instructions.

After the installation process, you will see an additional "TECHNONICOL" tab on the Revit bar.

The "TECHNONICOL" tab , that is on the Revit bar contains all tools of the program.

Building slopes with tapered insulation

With the "Main Slope" button you can form a specified slope on a flat roof using tapered insulation.

The "Counter Slope" button is used to create sloping in a gutter between roof outlets.

"Line at the surface" allows you to draw a line of a model at the surface of the floor slab or flat roof.

"Split slab, roof" serves to separate the slab or flat roof into parts along the selected line.

Standard Revit functions were added to the application to make work in it more convenient. These functions are: Roof along the outline, Slope at a point and Vertical opening.

Sandwich constructions leaders

Such tools as "Multi-Leader" and "Leader of Elements" form the standard leaders of sandwich constructions for one or more elements of enclosure structures.

"Leader Setting" allows you to select the material parameter that needs to be displayed in "Leader".

TECHNONICOL library

"Catalog of Materials" allows you to select TECHNONICOL building materials, view their properties and load them into the user’s project.

"Catalog of Construction" allows you to select TECHNONICOL building systems, view their properties and load them into the user’s project.

In addition, users can make changes in the composition of sandwich construction by adding alternative materials and thicknesses or create their own structure.

Users can submit questions or suggestions on working with the plugin through "Feedback Form".
